A delicate chime guides them deep into the forest until they come across the ruins of an old church. The history of it fills Remiel's mind with wonder. What might have been here prior to the lands being claimed as the Safari Zone?

It isn't long before something emerges from the ruins of that church's bell tower, however: a CHINGLING.

When it spots them, the little bell immediately attempts to fend them off with an unusual psychic energy (CONFUSION). Salem quickly steps in to counter it with a CONFUSE RAY. As the Chingling sways back and forth like a drunkard, Remiel pulls out an empty ball and casts it forward.

Though the OSHAWOTT seems to want nothing more than to challenge him, the Umbreon isn't having it. Every time the little sea otter inches towards him, raising its razor-sharp shell, Salem emits an ear-piercing SCREECH that stops it in its tracks.

The fourth time this occurs, the Oshawott continues to try and advance despite the sound. It inches forward, one tiny step after another. And, when it finally reaches the Umbreon and raises its shell to attack, it's whacked away with an IRON TAIL. So long!

Salem DETECTS the GROWLITHE's surprise attack, narrowly avoiding a FLARE BLITZ that comes roaring their way. Using the glowing rings around its body, the Umbreon attempts to confuse the aggressive little mammal next (CONFUSE RAY). And its efforts are repaid.

Staggering about like a drunkard, the Cyndaquil can't seem to find its footing before Salem slams it down with an IRON TAIL. Only afterward does Remiel slide in with an empty luxury ball in hand.

A SHADOW SNEAK darts at the edges of Salem's dim blue glow. Something stalks them in the night. Remiel catches a glimpse of feathers, leaving leaves in its wake that gently glide to the ground.

When the ROWLET attempts to make its move, however, the royal's Umbreon is quick to DETECT the attack and swat it away. Shocked, the owl shrieks and flees back into the forest from whence it came.

The GROWLITHE is incensed by the glowing blue light it spots traveling through its territory. Igniting into a FLARE BLITZ, Remiel and Salem practically see it coming from a mile away as it runs towards them to attack. The Umbreon, of course, manages to DETECT the assault and evade.

The battle that follows is action-packed, and doesn't fail to set parts of their surroundings on fire. After casting a CONFUSE RAY on the canine, however, Salem found it easy to slam it into the ground with an IRON TAIL. It was only then that Remiel strode in, pulling an empty ball from his pack before casting it forward.

As the pair take the trail leading to the Safari Zone's exit, a SCATTERBUG emerges out from the border of the forest to try and ruin their day with a STUN SPORE. It manages to PARALYZE Salem, too, but the Umbreon's SYNCHRONIZE gives the bug a taste of its own medicine. Remiel watches as it drops down from a tree branch.

Though his own Pokémon struggles to move, at least having the Scatterbug in the same state made it easy for the prince to walk up with an empty luxury ball and catch it.
